Hope for Prisoners?

Artist Statement:

MANY INMATES STRUGGLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH IN PRISON SUCH AS
DEPRESSION, DRUG DEPENDENCY AND ANXIETY. DUE TO LOW FUNDING FOR
COUNSELORS AND REHABILITATION PROGRAMS MANY OF THEM ARE NOT ABLE TO
OVER COME THE ISSUES THEY HAVE. THESE COUNSELORS AND PROGRAMS CAN
HELP INMATES TAKE THE FIRST STEPS IN RECOVERY AND MOVE FORWARD.

Concept:

THROUGH THIS ART PIECE WE WISH TO RAISE THE PUBLIC’S AWARENESS OF THE BLEAK FUTURES THAT PRISONERS MUST FACE. BY RAISING AWARENESS, IT IS OUR HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE AN INCREASED EFFORT TO RAISE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR REHABILITATION AND TREATMENT FOR PRISONERS.
