About This Website

This site represents the work from a course titled Art in Public Spaces (BCUSP 191) at the University of Washington Bothell  from fall of 2012. Three projects were generated by students in this introductory public art course exploring social, environmental and community issues.   Please explore these projects and post questions and comments.

    I am extremely impressed with the thoughtful quality of all of the artists’ work. By conjoining a sophisticated conceptual apparatus and (in particular) the materiality of the artwork itself, you have all made powerful statements about “divisions,” “unities,” and “mending walls.” Thank you for your illuminating work!
